With inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Cher and Christina Aguilera it’s no surprise that Georgia Lee has a lot to live up to. Having started singing at the age of 14 around the North East for countless cover bands you can tell from her voice that her talented is firmly rooted. Her current single ‘Why Cry?’ which happens to be her second single release is a testament of an abundance of potential that’s raring to go.
‘Why Cry?’ is a follow up single to the spotlight grabbing Focus that introduced us to Georgia Lee as a solo. The song is a tasteful mixture of funk and neo-soul to give us something modern powered by powerfully dynamic voice that will captivate any listener.
According to Georgia Lee when asked about how Focus came about she says, "I was messing around with my keyboard in the kitchen while waiting for my chips to cook and felt inspired to write 'Focus'. The year prior had been very testing after an awful relationship and any other thing that could go wrong thrown into the mix. Looking back on it and comparing it to how I felt in the moment, I started writing."
