How long have you been making music? About 3 years
How many songs /albums have you released to date? I released a debut EP called "RISE" in 2018. I have 8-9 total songs, a mixture of covers and originals.
Can you tell us about your latest release and the background and inspirations behind it? "As It Seems" is my new single... really just wanted to speak my truth. The main concept is that nothing is at is seems. Some people may think musicians are making big money, but the reality is most (including myself) are not. Also I am sober and actually have relapse dreams (often)- so that made up the chorus. The main idea is that whatever you think.... is most likely wrong. And I also touch on social media a little bit because I think a lot of it's crap. If you think someone has a "perfect" life based on social media, or what you think you know about them.... you're most likely very wrong. Also, it was the first time I had ever rapped on a track, and I have to thank Jon Bellion for that. I love that dude.
How have you ended up in the music industry? I have been singing for years, but never took it seriously. Over time, my love of singing and music has only grown, so here we are !
What do you think of the current state of the music industry? I think the industry has changed a lot- it's not all about the traditional record labels anymore. There's just so many more opportunities out there for independent artists to be able to create and manage their careers, and I love that.
Who do you think is the most influential artist? Eminem, Jay-Z, Drake, Katy Perry, Chainsmokers
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career? No-one..... yet !
How do you think you differ from other artists? I am going to keep it real at all times. I will give you the truth, no fakeness, no BS. It's just me and there's only one of me.
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaboration? Jon Bellion, Ben Bohmer, Post Malone, oh and Phoebe Ryan
What was the first album you bought? RUN DMC- Raising Hell
What’s your favourite song at the moment? "Almost Home" by Ben Bohmer/ Koelle
What other hobbies or interests do you have? I have been a big volleyball player, I am also an actor, and I am really into fitness
Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project? Put out my debut EP Rise last year (2018), and at the moment I am really just putting out new singles. The most recent thing I did before "As It Seems" was a cover of When in Rome's "The Promise" which is a classic 80's song that I really love.
What’s in the pipeline after this project? Hopefully start writing some more and getting back in the studio to create some new magic. I could see myself doing another single (hopefully) soon !
