Hailing from the busy city of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Lence George's music encapsulates the intoxicating rhythms of the city and the pulsating beat of its citizens. His Afro-fusion blend of music draws inspiration from a variety of genres, though is always with his own unique spin.
Now living in Oslo, Norway, he injects his music with a chilled mid-tempo groove but keeps his production extremely versatile. Whether he is creating high-octane dance tracks, bittersweet love songs or sensual grooves, Lence pulls from a rolodex of musical ideas that he’s amassed over the course of his career.

Released on 24th July 2020, Altfor Farlig (translates into “too risky/dangerous”) takes the listener on a multicultural expedition through language and across cultures. The track is sung in 3 languages: Norweigian, English and Nigerian Pidgin, and is the perfect fusion of the collaborative team involved in the track’s production. From the Congolese heritage of the guitarist (Muleha Nhonzi), to the Nigerian roots of the mix engineer (Dennis Bensson) and the Norweigian cross-cultural twist that Lence imparts, this playful, upbeat track transcends borders as much as it touches hearts.
According to Lence, the track is about “falling in love with someone you know might get you into serious trouble, but you still want it”. It speaks to those who feel this absurd attraction to the opposite of ourselves, those who fall for the bad ones -- narratives that many of us can relate to, yet can’t quite put their finger on a proper explanation as to why that is the case.
