ENERGY100 fm to Host Talent Showcase Africa Playlist

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA, 25 February 2022—Windhoek-based ENERGY100 fm today  announced an exclusive syndication deal with pan-African artist development platform  Talent Showcase Africa (TSA), to host Talent Showcase Africa Playlist on ENERGY100  fm every Friday from 2100 hours Central Africa Time, with the inaugural broadcast  scheduled to flight on 4th March 2022.

In recent months the TSA Playlist, created under the umbrella of Nam Radio Local (NRL)  and broadcast via NRL’s online radio channel, has been bringing together thousands of  emerging African artists and their fans from all over Africa to converge in an exclusively  pan-African community that aims to showcase and grow the individual brands of the  talents themselves, and to bring to radio audiences fresh new African music they’ll likely  not find on mainstream television and radio channels. ENERGY100 fm, the most tuned in station in Namibia with an estimated figure of 100K listeners, has now partnered up  with TSA Playlist to not only host the show, but to also invite emerging Namibian talents  to submit their music for radio airplay consideration that offers the potential to grow their  fan base across the African continent using advanced tech infrastructure already in  place.

Collin Mogagabe, the CEO and co-founder of Talent Showcase Africa said, “This is a  golden opportunity for emerging Namibian artists to connect with a wider radio audience  and music fraternity across the continent; and seeing that most Namibian emerging  artists already have an online presence via streaming and download platforms, their  continental exposure on the TSA – ENERGY100 fm platform is expected to help  stimulate streams and downloads, resulting in the export of Namibian music to Africa.”

Gerald Johr, the General Manager of ENERGY100 fm says that the latest international  media study revealed that radio remains the most consumed media – especially on the  African continent, where Radio listenership has been consistently higher than the global

average. This association with TSA will ensure that our young Namibian artists will  receive the desired exposure and opportunities that media offers on the African  continent, and elsewhere globally.  Talent Showcase Africa, who are the exclusive pan-African partners for US-based tech  start-up Djooky Music Awards Global Song Contest, also bring to the table via the show,  the opportunity for African artists to win cash prizes and a chance to record their next  song with Michael Jackson’s producer Brian Malouf in Los Angeles, California, USA. The TSA Playlist format allows for the artist to present their own music on the show, an idea  that helps to connect the artiste to radio audiences on a more personal level. For more  information on how to get on the Talent Showcase Africa Playlist via ENERGY100 fm,  artists are invited to email mp3 to: PLAYLIST@energy100fm.com
