The Freedom Movement band is a collective; a melting pot of musicians with a vast range of influences and with backgrounds in many different musical genres. We are diverse in ethnicity and upbringings spanning a wide array of human experiences, much like the city we are passionate about reaching.
We believe that is what makes our blended expression so distinctive and needed. We believe God has uniquely gifted each of us individually as artists and worship leaders, but has also called us to walk together in unity and build a collective sound that will be like a city set on a hill - drawing His beloved back to Him and broadcasting His kingdom advancement in Philly.
We believe God is allowing us to be his hands and feet through our music, bringing eternal change, the freedom found in Jesus Christ, to the captives, creating songs and sounds of hope that resist the tides of our increasingly darkening culture. Though we function primarily to serve our local church body, we hope our praise and worship will engage, encourage and influence people of every generation throughout the earth to pursue the Presence of God.
